Building a Better Poker Ecosystem

At Vanilla Poker, we believe poker is at its best when players of all experience levels can enjoy fair, competitive, and sustainable games.
As a proud member of the WePlay Network, we share the Network’s commitment to building a healthy poker ecosystem where recreational players, aspiring players, and experienced regulars can all compete in an environment built on fairness, integrity, and long-term sustainability.
Our goal is simple: create games that players want to return to, day after day.
Our Security & Ecology Policy is not designed to punish winning players or discourage skill. On the contrary, we welcome strong players and believe poker should reward preparation, discipline, experience, and good decision-making.
However, there is an important distinction between winning through skill and gaining an advantage through behavior that harms the ecosystem itself.
What We Encourage
At Vanilla Poker, we encourage every player to:
- Compete fairly against all opponents.
- Help maintain active and healthy games.
- Participate in normal table dynamics.
- Respect fellow players and the poker community.
- Play without prohibited software or external assistance.
- Contribute to an enjoyable experience for everyone on the WePlay Network.
Players who contribute positively to the health of the games help create an environment where poker can continue to grow.
What We Discourage
Certain patterns of behavior may benefit individual players while negatively affecting everyone else.
These include, among others:
- Predatory Behaviour;
- Bum Hunting;
- Hit & Run Behaviour;
- Multi-Accounting;
- Collusion;
- Account Sharing;
- Bots and automation;
- Real-Time Assistance (RTA);
- Any conduct designed to exploit game ecology rather than compete fairly.
While some of these practices may appear profitable in the short term, they reduce table liquidity, discourage recreational participation, and ultimately weaken the poker ecosystem for everyone.
Fair Competition Matters
Winning is never a violation.
Targeting specific opponents while systematically avoiding regular competition is.
Being a successful player is encouraged.
Building your results primarily through ecology abuse is not.
We recognize the difference.
Protecting the Games
As part of the WePlay Network, Vanilla Poker benefits from a dedicated Security Team that continuously monitors gameplay, investigates suspicious behavior, and reviews patterns that may negatively affect the integrity and ecology of the Network.
Where appropriate, the Security Team may:
- Conduct investigations;
- Request additional verification;
- Review gameplay history;
- Apply temporary restrictions;
- Suspend or permanently close accounts;
- Confiscate funds associated with prohibited conduct.
These measures exist to protect the games, preserve a healthy ecosystem, and ensure that fair competition remains at the heart of the poker experience.
The WePlay Ecology Fund
One of the initiatives that makes the WePlay Network unique is the WePlay Ecology Fund.
Where appropriate, funds confiscated through ecology-related enforcement actions are not treated as operator revenue.
Instead, those funds may be redistributed to players directly affected by prohibited conduct or reinvested into the poker ecosystem through the WePlay Ecology Fund.
The purpose of the Ecology Fund is to reward players who contribute positively to the long-term health of the games and to support initiatives that strengthen the entire poker community.
Our Commitment
At Vanilla Poker, we are proud to be part of a network that prioritizes long-term sustainability over short-term gains.
We know that no poker ecosystem is perfect, and that new challenges continue to emerge as online poker evolves.
Our commitment remains simple:
- Protect fair competition.
- Reward honest play.
- Preserve healthy games.
- Continuously improve the poker experience.
Every decision made by Vanilla Poker and the WePlay Network is guided by one objective:
To build the fairest, healthiest, and most sustainable poker ecosystem possible.
