Poker is at its best when players of all skill levels can enjoy fair, competitive, and sustainable games.

At WePlay Network, we believe that protecting game ecology is just as important as protecting game integrity. A healthy poker ecosystem requires more than preventing cheating—it requires encouraging behaviors that create active tables, healthy game liquidity, and an enjoyable experience for every player.

1. Why We Created the Ecology Fund

Our Security Team actively monitors and enforces rules against behaviors that negatively impact game ecology, including Predatory Behaviour, Bum Hunting, Hit & Run Behaviour, Multi-Accounting, and other forms of ecology abuse.

In some cases, enforcement actions may result in the confiscation of funds. Traditionally, those funds remain with the operator. At WePlay Network, we have chosen a different approach.

Rather than treating confiscated funds as operator revenue, we reinvest them back into the poker community through the WePlay Ecology Fund.

Our objective is simple:

  • Protect fair competition.
  • Preserve healthy games.
  • Reward positive contribution.
  • Strengthen the long-term sustainability of the WePlay Network.

2. Purpose

The WePlay Ecology Fund has been established to support the long-term health, integrity, sustainability, and growth of the WePlay Network poker ecosystem.

The Fund ensures that money confiscated through ecology-related enforcement actions is returned to the poker ecosystem in ways that benefit fair play and encourage healthy player participation, rather than becoming operator revenue.

3. Funding Sources

The Ecology Fund may receive funds confiscated through enforcement actions relating to violations of the WePlay Network Security & Ecology Policy, including but not limited to:

  • Predatory Behaviour;
  • Bum Hunting;
  • Hit & Run Behaviour;
  • Multi-Accounting, where no directly affected players can reasonably be identified;
  • Other ecology-related violations determined by the WePlay Security Team.

Whenever specific players can reasonably be identified as having suffered direct financial harm, WPN will prioritize redistribution of confiscated funds to those affected players.

Where direct redistribution is not reasonably possible, confiscated funds may instead be allocated to the WePlay Ecology Fund.

4. How the Ecology Fund is Used

The Ecology Fund exists to strengthen the overall poker ecosystem.

Funds accumulated within the Ecology Fund may be used to support initiatives including, but not limited to:

  • Ecology Rewards;
  • Recreational Player Promotions;
  • Surprise Cash Drops;
  • Ecology Freerolls;
  • Community Events;
  • Liquidity Incentive Programs;
  • Welcome Promotions;
  • Cashback or Loyalty Campaigns;
  • Seasonal Events;
  • Any other initiative designed to improve the long-term health of the WePlay Network ecosystem.

5. Ecology Rewards

The Ecology Fund is not intended to reward players simply for winning or losing.

Instead, it is designed to recognize and reward players who contribute positively to the long-term health of the WePlay Network.

When determining eligibility for Ecology Rewards, WPN may consider factors including, but not limited to:

  • Healthy and consistent table participation;
  • Contribution to game liquidity;
  • Compliance with the Security & Ecology Policy;
  • Fair and ethical gameplay;
  • Recreational activity where applicable;
  • Positive long-term contribution to the Network;
  • Other ecology-related metrics deemed relevant by WPN.

Selection of recipients is made solely at the discretion of WPN.

6. Distribution of Funds

Distribution of Ecology Fund rewards is entirely discretionary and does not constitute an entitlement.

WPN reserves the sole right to determine:

  • when distributions will occur;
  • the amount of each distribution;
  • the recipients;
  • the form of each reward;
  • the eligibility criteria.

Rewards may be distributed in various forms, including:

  • Cash Rewards;
  • Tournament Tickets;
  • Bonuses;
  • Promotional Credits;
  • Cashback;
  • Freeroll Entries;
  • Other rewards determined by WPN.

7. Transparency

To promote transparency and demonstrate its commitment to protecting game ecology, WPN may periodically publish information regarding the Ecology Fund, including:

  • Total funds collected;
  • Total funds distributed;
  • Number of rewarded players;
  • Ecology initiatives supported;
  • Community programs funded through the Ecology Fund.

Individual player information may remain confidential.

8. Our Commitment

The WePlay Ecology Fund represents our commitment to building a healthier poker ecosystem.

Players who damage the ecosystem should not benefit from it.

Instead, whenever appropriate, funds confiscated through ecology-related enforcement actions are returned to the community by rewarding players who help create healthier games and a more sustainable poker environment.

Every decision regarding the Ecology Fund is guided by one objective:

To build the healthiest, fairest, and most sustainable poker ecosystem possible.
